Old Cranbrookian Reunions
Class reunions are a wonderful part of the Old Cranbrookian community and a great opportunity to reconnect with School friends.
The Development Office maintains a database of Old Cranbrookians to facilitate contact between classmates. The accuracy of the database is dependent on Old Cranbrookians providing their contact details. After all reunions, please send an updated list of current names, addresses, mobile phone, and email addresses to alumni@cranbrook.nsw.edu.au if you have had a chance to collect them.
A list of current events for Old Cranbrookians can be found here: www.trybooking.com/eventlist/oldcranbrookians
Organising a Cranbrook School reunion
Committee
It is advisable to have at least three people on your committee to spread the workload. This involves communication with your former classmates, liaising with the Development Office to organise online bookings, School tours and events onsite or booking at venues close to Cranbrook. We recommend The Royal Oak and The Golden Sheaf at nearby Double Bay.
Due to privacy, the Development Office will email your classmates on your committee’s behalf. Keep in mind that we are only able to contact those classmates who have provided their data and have opted to receive communication from the School.
Registration and Payment
The Development Office can set up payment and registration online via the OCA’s Trybooking platform on your behalf. Monies are then transferred directly to the OCA who will then be able to pay invoices directly or reimburse tax receipts related to your event.
Promotion
The School can promote your reunion event via OCA Social channels, email, SMS and website. We strongly encourage your committee to contact classmates directly via phone or email to drive attendance, rather than rely on your classmates reading emails or having access to social media.
Date
We suggest locking in your date with the School and your venue about 4-6 months in advance to allow for interstate and overseas guests to make arrangements. Dates set well in advance can be promoted via email and the OCA’s social channels.
Tour of the School
You may wish to hold a tour of the School before your reunion. Please contact the Development Office to book dates well in advance.
Venue
If you do a tour of the School, you should consider having the event at a venue nearby. For major reunions i.e., 40th, 50th or 60th, Cranbrook School can provide either the Mansfield Room or Governor’s Ballroom for a sit-down lunch or dinner (Term times only)
Name Tags
We strongly recommend name tags and can provide these for you at your request.
OCA Magazine
Please send through photos and a brief report on your reunion for potential inclusion in OCA magazine.
