The Cranbrook Foundation was founded in 1974 by Cranbrook School. It is a company limited by guarantee, and is administered by a Board of Directors. Its day to day activities are supported by the Director of Development, a member of the Cranbrook School staff. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide long term financial support for the advancement of the School.
In 2017 we spent over $9 million on the refurbishment of the Senior School Building. In Cranbrook’s centenary year, students have benefited from lighter, brighter more engaging and suitable educational spaces which have inspired more progressive learning and teaching.
Our Wolgan Valley campus, in which we invested $5 million, is now also part of Cranbrook’s academic offering, allowing experiential learning in an environment vastly different to the everyday academic locality of our city based campuses.
Whilst much has been achieved during the past decade, we are now looking to secure the future of our School, ensuring its relevance and optimisation into its second century. Our focus is now on the renewal of our Bellevue Hill campus, with work underway on planning and developing the transformation of our School infrastructure.
