COVID-19 PROTOCOLS FOR VISITING STAFF FOR SPORTS FIXTURES AT CRANBROOK JUNIOR SCHOOL - Cranbrook School

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS FOR VISITING STAFF FOR SPORTS FIXTURES AT CRANBROOK JUNIOR SCHOOL

20 Oct 20 by Tom Hart, Head of Junior School Sport

We are looking forward to hosting you at Cranbrook Junior School for Round 8 of the IPSHA Summer Sports fixtures.

To help you prepare to visit Cranbrook, we outline the COVID-19 Cranbrook Junior School Return to Sport Safety Plan. A 1:1 player spectator ratio applies to all indoor Cranbrook fixtures and two spectators per player for outdoor games. We ask all visiting match officials and staff adhere to the Plan at Cranbrook hosted fixtures.

This plan can be found HERE for indoor sports and HERE for outdoor sports.

ALL ARRIVALS including staff, players and officials, must attend an entry check point to register via QR Code and undertake a health check, inclusive of a temperature check and hand sanitisation, prior to entry. The map of where the entry checkpoints are located is HERE

As specified in the Plan:

  • Only 1 (one) parent or guardian per player will be allowed entry for indoor sports and 2 (two) for outdoor sports.
  • Only essential guardians or parents should attend fixtures.
  • Anyone who has visited any of the areas of concern listed by NSW Health must not attend. This list is HERE
  • All arrivals must scan the QR code and complete entry registration.
  • Social distancing between adults must be adhered to at all times.
  • Unwell players or staff must not attend.
  • All arrivals must undertake a health check, inclusive of a temperature check and hand sanitisation, prior to entry.
  • Only essential staff are to attend.
  • There is NO on-site parking for spectators.
  • Spectators are not permitted to watch from outside the School property.
  • Unfortunately at this time general spectators, such as Old Boys who are not a parent or guardian or a player's plus one, are not permitted to attend.
  • Staff and security will monitor attendees to ensure safe practices. NSW Police will also be conducting checks to ensure compliance with Public Health Orders.
  • All players and spectators will need to leave the grounds immediately after the completion of their game unless reserving for the following fixture. Groups of student spectators are NOT permitted to attend at this time.

PARKING FOR OFFICIALS AND STAFF

  • Parking for your staff is available via Kent Road at the Junior School. School ID must be shown for access, along with a parking permit completed BEFORE arrival. The parking permit is located here HERE
  • A map of the Staff Parking entry gate can be found HERE
  • All staff arrivals to the Junior School campus should proceed to either the Illuka Street or Kent Road Health Check Points immediately on arrival.

Anyone in breach of the guidelines laid out in the Plan will be asked to leave the premises, or refused entry, in the interests of keeping our broader School communities and general public safe, and to enable us to continue fixtures in coming weeks and months amidst the pandemic.

Should you have any questions, please contact us via THart@cranbrook.nsw.edu.au prior to game day.
