I should like to offer a warm welcome to all our families, both new and returning, to the 2024 school year and very much hope that you had a wonderful holiday.
I can report that our school is in outstanding shape, with a palpable sense of vibrancy across each of our campuses. Last year the culmination of the renewal of our Senior School campus was the completion of the Perkins Building housing our Music Department. This has been transformative for our fine young musicians. I was delighted to join our talented musicians for the conclusion of their European Music Tour at the start of the holidays. Back on campus, our Murray Rose Aquatic & Fitness Centre, and the Vicars Centenary Hall were bustling with activities throughout the holidays with our students involved in sports holiday camps and fitness training programmes. It is so wonderful to see our students immersing themselves in the life of the School, even during school holidays. My thanks go to the staff who so generously supported our students in these endeavours.
I should also like to acknowledge our dedicated teaching staff, who bring extensive experience and passion to the classroom. It gives me particular pleasure to extend a warm welcome to the newest members of our academic staff who join us from across Australia and overseas. We are excited to embark on this journey together and look forward to the positive impact they will make upon the lives of our students. I am delighted to share with you our exceptional HSC and IB Diploma results brochure, describing the outstanding achievements of our students across these prestigious examinations. These results are a testament to the hard work and dedication demonstrated by our Class of 2023 cohort. We take great pride in celebrating their accomplishments as they move towards their chosen pathways and tertiary education. Our move towards coeducation continues at pace, and we are delighted to have commenced the enrolment of places for girls in our first 2026 cohort. This move towards an inclusive educational environment reflects a growing acknowledgment of the importance of diverse perspectives and opportunities for all genders, and supports our aim to create a progressive and dynamic learning environment. Should you be interested in a place for your daughter in 2026 or beyond please contact our Admissions team via Enrol@cranbrook.nsw.edu.au.
This is an exciting time in the history of our much-loved school, and I should like to thank you for your continuing support as we look forward to a successful and fulfilling year ahead.
With warmest wishes
