A Message from the Headmaster: IB Diploma Results 2023

Good Morning

I am delighted to share with you our outstanding IB Diploma results for the Class of 2023.

These Cranbrook IB students are our second cohort to have completed their IB journey at Cranbrook culminating in these highly commendable IB Diploma results. The IB Diploma Class of 2023 have demonstrated focus, resilience, and academic rigour throughout their studies. I am immensely proud of each of them.

This year’s IB results reflect not only the academic excellence of our students but is a testament to their intellectual curiosity and passion for learning.

There were 35 Year 12 students who sat the IB Diploma examinations out of 193 students in this Year 12 cohort. Our students achieved an overall average score of 33 out of 45 whilst the global average was 29.

Our median ATAR for the IB Diploma Programme is 91. This is a wonderful result and truly reflects the diligence of these students and their teachers alike.

We can report that 33% of this cohort have achieved an ATAR in excess of 95, and 50% have achieved an ATAR in excess of 90.

We congratulate Emmanuel Travassaros for being named as Dux of the 2023 IB Diploma Programme with a perfect score of 45 which equates to the highest possible ATAR of 99.95. This is an extraordinary achievement, and we offer our sincerest congratulations to Emmanuel. Luca Lewis has been named as Proxime Accessit of the 2023 IB Diploma Programme with a score of 43 out of 45 and an ATAR of 99.25. These are exceptional individual achievements.
