Overview
Cranbrook is a member of the Combined Associated Schools (CAS) and is involved in the CAS sports competition held every Saturday. We compete against Barker College, Knox Grammar School, Trinity Grammar School, St Aloysius' College and Waverley College. In addition, trials are held in most sports against schools from Greater Public Schools (GPS) and Independent Schools Association (ISA) schools.
Participation in the School's sporting program is compulsory. Training is generally on Tuesday and Thursday for senior teams, and Wednesday and Friday for junior teams. Cranbrook offers the following sports:

The athletics season runs independently at the end of Term 3 and Cranbrook has a team of approximately 120 athletes.
Coaching
Cranbrook is committed to providing excellence in coaching to all students and has developed an extensive and programmed coaching structure for the variety of sports offered. Teams are predominately coached by professional, qualified sports coaches under the direction of a Master in Charge or Director of each sport. Many of our current coaches come from an elite playing or coaching background.
Additional facilities
The School also has a fully equipped weights centre and a squash court overseen by the Strength and Conditioning Coach, Mr Chris Knight. Coaching in strength and conditioning is available to students during, before and after school as well as at lunch times. Specific training programs are also provided to complement our sport practices.
Tours
Most major sports engage in overseas or Australian tours every two years. In the past there have been football and rugby tours to Argentina, the Gold Coast and New Zealand. Basketball teams regularly tour the United States and cricket teams have enjoyed playing in South Africa and the United Kingdom.
