Overview
The six Key Learning Areas (KLAs), which form the foundation of the primary curriculum, are expanded to form the secondary curriculum. In addition to courses in the Key Learning Areas of:
- English
- Mathematics
- Human Society and Its Environment
- Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
- Creative Arts,
courses in the Key Learning Areas of:
- Science
- Languages
- Technology and Applied Studies
are introduced.
The Years 7 - 12 curriculum offers a wide selection of subjects within these KLAs in order to challenge all students academically.
The courses of study offered are courses approved by the NSW Board of Studies and meet the Board requirements for both the School Certificate in Year 10 and the Higher School Certificate in Year 12. At Cranbrook the curriculum also includes Drama in Years 7 and 8, and Religious Studies in Years 7 - 11.
Details of the curriculum for each year group are located in the links to the left.
