Over 400 students study a musical instrument in the Senior School at Cranbrook. Lessons are generally given in School time but, if requested and time is available, lessons can be arranged during lunchtime, or before or after school. Senior students are given preference for these times. Lessons are generally half an hour in length but we do encourage one-hour lessons or two half hour lessons per week once a student attains a reasonable level of proficiency.
Subject to their ability and to an appropriate vacancy, these students are required to join one of the ensembles offered by the School. All students of music, including those who study outside the School, are warmly encouraged to participate in the wide range of ensembles, groups and performance activities available:
