About the Junior School
It is the aim of the Junior School, K–Year 6, to provide an educational environment that will provide optimum learning opportunities for each student, and to promote self-confidence and an ongoing enthusiasm for learning in its students. Each student is encouraged to strive towards achieving his potential in many fields of endeavour. Each student is encouraged to develop intellectually, and to develop a consideration of others and a sense of independence and responsibility.
The vision for, and the direction of, K–Year 6 are the responsibility of the Head of Junior School and the Junior School Leadership Team: Deputy Head of Junior School, Director of Early Learning, PYP/Curriculum Coordinator and Senior Teacher (K–Year 2).
The curriculum broadly follows that laid down for primary schools by the New South Wales Board of Studies, and is taught within the context
of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.
