Curriculum
The curriculum consists of all learning experiences under the auspices of the School and is generally organised under the following learning areas, as determined by the NSW Board of Studies:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science and Technology
- Human Society and Its Environment (HSIE)
- Creative Arts: Visual Arts, Music
- Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
Class teachers are essentially responsible for the teaching of English, Mathematics, Science and Technology, HSIE and aspects of Personal Development. Specialist teachers teach all other subjects. In keeping with the International Baccalaureate's Primary Years Program, the staff of Dickins House has been developing and teaching integrated inquiry units in each grade.
