Overview
There are a variety of co-curricular activities available in the School. They are designed to widen students' horizons and enrich their education. After School activities are provided for Years 1 and 2 students only. Students are allocated places in popular activities on a term-by-term basis.
Ball Skills
Balls skills lessons focus on developing the basic skills of catching, hitting, batting and kicking balls. Year 1 lessons are held on Monday afternoons from 2:50 pm - 3:50 pm and Year 2 lessons are on Friday afternoons from 3:00 pm -4:00 pm. Lessons are held on Dangar Playing Field at Dickins House. In wet weather, activities take place indoors. If a boy's application is unsuccessful in one term, he will have the opportunity to apply again in subsequent terms. All boys have at least one term of ball skills lessons.
Chess
Chess lessons for boys in Years 1 and 2 are available before and after school. Parents are asked to contact the coordinator, Mr Monastyrsky, at school after lessons or on 9328 6425 with regard to lesson changes. Alternatively you may choose to address notes to Mr Monastyrsky and leave them with our School Secretary.
Afternoon Studio Art
Art lessons are available to boys in Years 1 and 2 one afternoon per week, from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Classes are limited to 12. Parents of boys in Year 1 and 2 will receive a registration form at the beginning of term. If a boy's application is unsuccessful in one term, he will have the opportunity to apply again in subsequent terms. All students have at least one term of extra art.
French
French is taught to Years 1 and Year 2 students. French lessons take place at Dickins House on Monday and Thursday afternoons from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
