Supporting Cranbrook School - Investing in the Future
Every gift to Cranbrook makes a difference.

The Cranbrook Foundation, established in 1976, aims to marshal the School community's resources and goodwill for the continuing operation and long-term development of the School. Management of the affairs of the Foundation is vested in the Director and the Board of Trustees. The objectives of the Foundation are, in summary, to:

  • create and establish funds for the benefit of the School by way of donations, gifts, bequests and legacies
  • hold and invest such funds as necessary
  • use funds for:
    • School gates
    • employment of specialist staff
    • provision of competitive staff salaries
    • research projects
    • scholarships
    • acquisition of books, plant and equipment
    • the offset of escalations in School fees
    • improvement of the School environment.

Cranbrook School was founded in the early 20th century by a group of businessmen and churchmen who wished to secure a site and develop facilities for a school for boys in Sydney's eastern suburbs. The School's mission was to provide the best possible education for each boy entrusted to its care.

Supported generously by parents, alumni, staff and friends, the School has continued to respect the ethos of the founders. It is committed to providing each student with the opportunity to develop his intellectual, cultural, physical, emotional and spiritual strengths and talents in an outstanding educational environment.
